Ice Eaters for the Shellfish FLUPSY (Floating Upweller System)
USE THE ICE EATER IN A FLUPSY TO SUPPORT A FLOATING NURSERY
The Ice Eater can be retrofitted to a floating nursery, also known as a FLUPSY, where shellfish seed grow inside mesh pots.
The Ice Eater is installed under a floating platform in between barrels or mesh pots used for growth. The Ice Eater generates a current of water used by the seed in the FLUPSY to feed on the food and phytoplankton floating in the surrounding water.
Using an Ice Eater as part of a floating upweller system can boost growth while remaining user friendly. The Ice Eater is designed for low maintenance and high efficiency which means the FLUPSY will enjoy the same reliable operation.

Shallow Water Stand
Made of powder coated steel using stainless steel bolts to hold it together. Release the 4 bolts to lay it flat for storage.
The Shallow Water Stand comes with handles on each side of the frame making it easy to move.
- 2 ft/ vertical travel; perfect for shallow water applications.
- Minimum water depth is 18” and it has a full 360◦ rotation, and 90◦ tilt.
- Weighs 63 lbs on its own and 98 lbs with Ice Eater installed
- Purchase it to use with existing Ice Eater or as a new unit
